Tomb sweepling Festival, also known as Tomb - Sweeping Day, is not only one of the 24 solar terms in China but also a significant traditional festival. It usually falls on April 4th or 5th of the Gregorian calendar.

清明，又称扫墓节，既是中国二十四节气之一，也是一个重要的传统节日。

它通常在公历4月4日或5日。

With a history of over 2,500 years, the festival originated during the Zhou Dynasty. Initially, it was a day for the emperor to offer sacrifices to ancestors, praying for the prosperity and peace of the country. Later, it gradually became a day for the general public to pay respects to their ancestors.

这个节日起源于周朝，有着超过2500年的历史。最初，这一天是皇帝祭祀祖先，祈求国家繁荣和平的日子。后来，它逐渐成为普通民众缅怀祖先的日子。

1. 扫墓：Tomb - sweeping is the most important custom during Qingming. People visit the tombs of their ancestors, clean the tombstones, remove weeds, and offer sacrifices such as wine, fruits, and food. It is a way to express filial piety and remember the deceased.

扫墓是清明期间最重要的习俗。人们前往祖先的墓地，清扫墓碑，去除杂草，并供奉酒、水果和食物等祭品。这是表达孝心和缅怀逝者的一种方式。

2. 踏青：As the weather gets warmer and nature comes back to life during Qingming, spring outings, or "Taqing" in Chinese, become popular. People go outdoors to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fly kites, and have picnics, breathing in the fresh air of spring.

清明时节，天气转暖，大自然复苏，踏青（中文称为“踏青”）变得流行起来。人们到户外欣赏美景、放风筝、野餐，呼吸春天的新鲜空气。

3. 插柳：Planting willow branches is also a traditional practice. In ancient times, people believed that willows could exorcise evil spirits and bring good luck.
